Domain

A metaphor describing the way different entities interact in a component-based computing environment, in the same way a biological community of organisms interact in their physical environment/A community or network of interconnected entities, technologies, and stakeholders that collaborate and interact within a specific domain or industry.

An organizational body or entity assigned various responsibilities related to the centralized and coordinated management of those projects under its domain. The responsibilities of a PMO can range from providing project management support functions to actually being responsible for the direct management of a project.
